Ο Ρόντερικ και η Πάμελα Φίτζεραλντ είναι δύο αδέλφια που βρίσκονται στα δυτικά της Αγγλίας και βρίσκουν ένα παλιό αρχοντικό που θέλουν επιμόνως να αγοράσουν. Ο ιδιοκτήτης, όμως, τους προειδοποιεί πως περίεργα γεγονότα, που αφορούν μια αυτοκτονία γυναίκας, συνδέονται με το σπίτι, κάτι που δεν πτοεί τα αδέλφια.
